can temp files that are read only be changed. i have a problem and hp said that the temp files maybe read only so that is why memories disc creator will not work. how do you change read only status.

For some files it might be as easy as right-clicking on it, selecting properties, and unchecking the Read Only box at the bottom, and clicking ok. For some files it might be more complicated.

They are temp files so delete them.
HP giving sound advice is as likely as George Bush being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

i think they mean the directory, not  individual files

i am trying to copy photos to cd using hp memories disc. when i do i get a message that says the picture or audio files may be corrupt. i think the files i am trying to put on cd a placed in a temp directory until copied to disc, and this temp has become read only. only a guess.
