Thanks for the help, but it did not work. I even did system restore and this did not help. When I click on My Computer I keep getting the error SFG.38BA.DLL I cannot find any info anywhere on this error.

Anyone had a similar problem on Windows Me with opening Explorer or My Computer?

no it may seem like a trojan to me....did you disable system restore  before running stinger?you should do...i dont use system restore ...thats where all the bugs lurk? either right click on it and find more info on the dll file...also you could try spysweeper from webroot .com

I never get around to using System Recovery. My problems are serious enough to format. Not to mention when you donot have any problems, System Recovery causes one: unnecessary disk usage.

... think maybe the 'unecesasry disk usage' is product of the installtion/restore using compressed files, which it expands, then fails to clean up the disk after the installtion/reload is completed ,,,  I try to always run defragment before AND after any major install ......  I have never noticed any installation program which cleans up after itself... like a puppy not yet housebroken .... :)
