installing a third CD/DVD drive... can it be done?
« on: May 11, 2006, 06:00:49 PM »
Hey

I recently got a DVD rom drive, which i've tried to install but have failed.

I put it into my computer under the slave drive setting, but whenever i boot up my computer, it not only refuses to detect the DVD drive, but it also fails to pick up one of my current drives.

Do i need to change the master/slave settings on all of drives?, is there something i need to do in BIOS?

Thanks in advance guys, i hope you can help me out

Each IDE channel can have 1 Master and 1 Slave. How you arrange this is up to you, but hard drive should be Master on channel 1.
