what is difference among html, xhtml and asp?

html is client-side, asp is server-side, and xhtml is really pointless in my opinion except that it more closely resembles xml. meh.

just for the ones that happen to read this, xhtml is not pointless its the future of html, where html leaks certain things xhtml doesn't + xhtml code is more neat than html, in html you were able to do <a> [/url] and <A> [/url] for example and both worked, Xhtml will not allow this anymore and make the code orginazed + Xhtml will support webbrowsers better than html will, but virtually the coding is almost the same as html.
