    « on: June 02, 2006, 11:04:54 PM »
my computer has a problem when i log into a user on xp it logs out right away. i installed a second instance of xp which runs fine, but i wish to reformat so it all runs smooth. problem is, i cannot access the my documents files from the old xp users that i wish to keep. ive tried the backup utility but when they are restored i open the file and they are either blank documents or say access denied.

    need help asap.

Can you start in Safe Mode?

    To enter safe mode:
Right before your computer displays the Windows screen (right after loading the BIOS) start pressing F8

Have you tried taking ownership of the files to which access is denied :-?
