Ok.. now the problem.
My computer shuts it self down whenever I try to reboot or start it up upon the Windows XP loading screen.
It'll look as if its JUST about to load Windows, and then shut down.
If I want to start the computer up again, I have to remove the power cable out of the back of the power supply, flick the switch, wait a few seconds, flick the switch, plug the cable back in, and then try pressing the power button.
It will repeat the shutting down 3 to 5 times before sucessfully starting up into Windows.
What I've done so far:
flashed the bios
re-set everything (took everything out of the computer case, and placed it back in)
removed all cards (excluding sound which is onboard)
removed all cd/dvd drives
swapped out the memory
replaced the power supply with 3 different models (same problem persists)
i formatted numerous times, and tried Windows XP, Windows 2000
problem occurs on each OS.
also replaced HD
So I'm completely stumped ladies and gents...
I'm taking CSOM a course offered at the local college in September, so I'd like to have this issue resolved promptly!
Please help!
