Security information window
« on: June 02, 2006, 04:51:04 PM »
I am running windows XP and I get a security information window that pops up.  It reads "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.  Do you want to display the nonsecure items?"

I thought that unchecking warn if changing between secure and nonsecure mode under Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced would fix but it didnt seem to help.

If any one knows how I can fix this I would really appriciate it.

Thanks.

This exact subject was addressed at the www.experts-exchange.com in this post: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Browser_Issues/Q_21225504.html.

Here's a direct copy of the answer from the user "SheharyaarSaahil":

"...goto Tools>Internet Options>Security>select Internet Zone and click on Costum Level
look under Miscellaneous heading.... there should be an option called Display Mixed Content
is it set to Prompt? if yes then set it to Disable and apply..."

Here's the more detailed Microsoft article that explains Security Zones in detail: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/security/setup.mspx

Hope this helps (that warning annoys me too :).
