Disturbingly, I did. However, an Oracle I cannot claim to be; if I was, I wouldn't have the right to say "I told you so".
On a more serious note, I knew that after I lost QA0035 that YaBB was not to be trusted with pure information like that. It can and will be corrupted. Furtheremore,
I predict that YaBB will do it again in the future. I have lost faith in YaBB's ability to accurately and safely store these precious threads. However, there is good news.
True to my word, I have kept backups of the FAQ threads. I don't have all the FAQ threads backed up; however, I have a great deal of them. Of my threads, I have 17 threads, all YaBB code preserved. Of 2k_dummy, I have one I cristened QA0020.5 because we skipped his by mistake. I have 5 of Flame's threads, including the Golden Rule. Of Hopester, I have 4: QA0002, QA0003,
QA0007, and QA0009. I have blackberry's QA0033. I also have dl65's QA0019a. I have QA0028, courtesy of GX1_Man. From robpomeroy, I have QA0039 and one I interestingly labelled QA0009. (QA0029?)
I have the power to restore these threads to a fully functional thread in the FAQ Database. However, I am choosing to wait until after this mess is "repaired". Upon normal functionality, expect to see some threads by me with kudos to the original author.
