« on: May 18, 2006, 05:35:13 AM »
Im trying to install a PC Game, but an error window pops up saying:
16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.

Even when I try to run MS-DOS "Command" this message comes up?????????????

This question has been answered so many times that we've engraved it in granite (marble was too expensive):

Autoexec.nt

Good luck.  8-)

Thank you! I think the problem may have been the fact that there wasnt an autoexec.nt file in System32 in the first place!
It seems to be working now though, thanks again.   ;D

I can see how frustrating it may be to answer the same quesstion  so many times, but I can hardly describe the frustration of not succeding installing so many lovely games.

First, thank you very much for the patience.
Secondly, I strongly think that this certain thread is to be "sticked" in the first page, or have some kind of a link.

Anyway, thanks guys, I now got the idea of what the problem is [after more than five years!!], but how do I get the autoexec.nt file, if missing?

Aniuzbek,

We have already established a link for this topic at Autoexec.nt

If you are missing your autoexec.nt file completely, you can get a backup copy from the repair directory. Follow the instructions at the link posted above.

Right you are.
Pardon.

I succeed to install the LBA1 game, the one I wished to play again after the first time, in age of 10.
I's marvelous! So *censored* cute!

THANK YOU!
