Only see 1 sata drive
« on: June 14, 2006, 05:09:39 PM »
Hi, I have recently put together a new rig. I have posted my system below. When I setup my harddrives, I set the first one up with xp then once I knew it was working, I installed the other 2. I didnt format the other two I simply installed them. I also enabled sata II on the drives.

The problem I am having is that my system recognizes the drives but I only see 1 drive at 80gigs even though I have 3 sata drives connected.

Why dont I see the other drives? Why dont I have more storage space?

Thanks in advance for reading and answering.

where are u looking for the other 2 hd's? My computer? cause chances are u wont see them there.

    try this....

    START>CONTROL PANEL>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS>COMPUTER MANAGEMENT>STORAGE>DISK MANAGEMENT

u should see ur other 2 hd's unformatted there. u also can format them there too.

reeves......  If you go into disk management in the control panel .....those other 2 drives should probably be showing up as raw ......... in other words they have not been formatted .
If you format them , they will show up in My computer .......

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
