computer turning off

Greetings...

i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.

the problem is that when i turn on my other computer it starts up for 2 seconds then turns off. i changed the power supply and the same thing happens.

also if the power supply--->mother board connector is brown is that bad?

argh.... and  I can't figure out whats wrong with it either which makes it even worse.....

ok get us the low down on your system..like mobo cpu ram etc..could be a wire adrift...?

i think it might be the CPU.....

I just changed the motherboard and the powersupply

but i kept the same CPU....may that be the problem?

If your CPU was damaged in the process or malfunctioning before you replaced the mainboard; it is most likely the CPU.

man....

i just pulled out the CPU out of the computer I was using to post on the board. Now my 2 computers are malfunctioning...

The one computer is still not starting up and now my other computer's video card is not working.

ARGH im going crazy...I am now sitting on my laptop trying to figure something out... If anyone can help me... please post...

How exactly did you take out the CPU?

Did you rid your hands of static electricity? Did you carefuly mount the heatsink and added a bit of thermal paste? You may have scratched the surface if you became even a tiny bit careless.
