Why are you trying to open it? We're trying to delete it, not open it.

Lemme try to break this down step by step for ya.

1. Start -> Run -> CMD
2. cd desktop
3. dir typing dir and hitting 'enter' will give you a list of all the files on you're desktop along with the extension find the one that says beatcraft and look at the end of it. You will see a '.' followed by three letters. That's called an extension.
4. cacls beatcraft.ext /p guest:n replace 'ext' with the extension that you should have discovered in the previous step.
5. Exit the command prompt and reboot your PC
6. Start -> Run -> CMD
7. cd desktop
8. del beatcraft.ext -y once again, replace 'ext' with the extension discovered in step 3

That should about do it.

    Use KillBox to BROWSE to find the file then select the delete on reboot option.

            Right click on the icon & check it's properties, what is it, a shortcut, a file, a directory?
            Are you trying to remove the whole beatcraft program or just this little poop on your desktop?

            Have you tried reinstalling the program the icon is connected to? Or even just running the program? I once had a similar problem with an old version of the NetHack game, and reinstalling caused the "phantom" icon to disappear.

              OK, I just downloaded and installed beatcraft, it placed a shortcut on my desktop which I promptly deleted.
