Detecting Proxy Settings
« on: September 04, 2004, 10:29:44 AM »
:-/  I am using Windows Me and Internet Explorer along with a cable modem..  Lately at random times when I click into IE I am getting "detecting proxy settings" immediately followed by a error and page won't display.  My modem is working fine and I am thinking that this could be a PC problem?  Has anyone every encountered this before?  It does not happen all the time ..but it seems to be happening more and more often. >:(  Thanks for any help u can give!

Please Read This First - Viruses & Spyware

Install the programs recommended (Scanners for Viruses, trojans and spyware)

Go to Internet Explorer Options -> Advanced tab and reset to default.
