ok i was able to get an opengl32.dll that seems to put me back where i was in the first place so thats a good thing i think. i got 3dfx voodoo 2 or 3 and windows xp, i once fixed this problem by replacing some dlls but that was long ago and cant remember which ones other then opengl32.dll if any i replaced. i cant find the site that told me how to fix it either. this is really a last resort for me so help is much appreciated, thanks again.

To install the new drivers we must first find out what video card you have.
Download & run Everest, it will tell you & then you can tell us.

Without the correct drivers how would you even expect it to work correctly? Why should it? How could it?  ::)

Is it in Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel? If not, just delete it in Device Manager. Use Safe Mode if necessary.
