    Hyperlink query
    « on: July 17, 2006, 02:41:18 AM »
    Hi,

Whenever i click on an hyperlink in MS Word 2003 it gives me an warning:

"Hyperlinks can be harmful to yoru computer and data. To protect your computer, click only those hyperlinks from trusted source. Do you want to continue?"

Followed by a "Yes" & "No" option.

From where can i remove this dialog/warning from coming.

    Thanks
    Vibhor Kumar Agarwal

      I am the administrator.  8-)

Possibly this is a broken file associations problem.  Try downloading and running >this< registry patch.  (Just save it then double-click it, and answer "Yes/Ok".)

Word/Windows needs to know which program to use to open up a hyperlink.  You just recreated that knowledge.

But with that hyperlink i was not opening a html file.

            I created a link to a file.
Then itself it was not opening.

Opening a file via a link in Word, how does this relate to IE.

If the format of the link (which you may not be able to see) is file:// then, like http:// that is the kind of transaction that can be mediated by your internet browser.

But who cares, if it works?  ;)  ;D
