The way I see it, moderatorship is a service to the other members. Really, it's like voluntary community service. Peccavi is right, though: As I said we really don't have any open spaces.

Of course, my other point is also true, if we did need another mod, Zylstra would not make a bad choice. :)

but your answer only should be able to show them... especially when it helps them and when other ppl answers get solved in the same thread.. ppl will start to think well if he answered my question last time maybe *censored* be able to do it again or point me in the right direction... is mod is just a rank... u should feel good about what you do no matter your rank.. like when i help ppl around my town i feel good cuz i know i solved their problem and my job is not a tech position (yet) im a data cruncher right now... so i guess what im saying is rank should have no part in how you feel when you help ppl...  i hope i wasnt rude in any way.. if so im sorry and i apolygize...

Don't worry, that wasn't rude at all! (Or at least, not to me)
I like it when people give their views.
However, when I speak of being a mod so people know I am helpful, I mean that I want the first time viewers who only post once to know that I am helpful...

i do not recall anybody asking for a political vote between zylstra and dead_reckon. again, this poll seems kind of rash.

hes good, yeah but a little low on the " unbiased " side. i rememb er all those signatures that he had denouncing norton, when in fact they do sometimes have a small bright spark.
"question" is not an adequate topic name!

Nobody ever said that moderators must be bland, boring people without personality. I too have biases, such as the fact that I too dislike Norton. (And there's a good reason for that. AVG Free finds things that Norton is happy to say don't exist. Then there's the innumerable popups I now get...)  I also hate E-Machines for their sub-standard hardware.

If Zylstra said that he hated a AV scanner that turned out to be good, then well, there's a problem. But really, Zylstra ic correct in his Anti-Norton views. What has Norton done for me? (OK, I got Speed Disk. One point for Symantec.)

Zylstra would be perfectly fine as a moderator, especially since he has his own forum and I assume he's pretty good at it. It's just that there aren't open slots right now. Too many police and not enough civilians is not a good thing; nor is too many moderators. :)

Not.  I do not think there are any vacancies that currently require filling.

The Admin (Nathan) makes people Mods. He doesent seem to be around often.

Was that "No" as in Zylstra555 should not be a mod, or no as in you are disagreeing with someone else?
