MSN Live messager firewall issue

i installed windows live messager within the last 15 minutes or so, and it wont connect, if i try troubleshooting, then it tells me to check my windows firewall settings, but everything to do with the messager is enabled. it does state that i am connected through wireless,(it doesnt say if thats the problem though) could this be a problem with my router?

Another Google hit: how can i fix error 80048820 on my msn messenger, and there's more out there, of course.  Were you using some other messaging software before installing MSN Live messager?
