Installation of XP Professional
« on: July 25, 2006, 02:28:16 PM »
I bought XP Pro on line and downloaded and burned it as a bootable disk (from the directions received from vender), but upon installation the disk boots to the 'command prompt - A/'.   :-?  Anyone know what the commands are to load XP via this method? :)

Thanks

You cannot legally download Windows XP period so this is what is called pirated software, and we can't help with that. Sorry.

Just a comment...

A lot of people are falling for these scams about getting OEM software at unbelievable prices.

When are people going to learn that if something sounds to good to be true...it probably is.

Funny how scammers can grab the attention of the unwitting simply by a carefully worded e-mail subject.  Even funnier when the unwitting fall for these scams and open "spam" from people they don't even know.

When will they ever learn?

Probably AFTER they get ripped off a time or two.

Pirated indeed, if you already intend to spend no money whatsoever on software, get Linux! Legal and not Windows  ;D.
