Basic computer problem diagnostics, virus removal, Fixing problems in DOS, using all types of OS's (mainly apple and PC's), understanding the basics of how a computer is build (I strongly recommend you try and build your own computer if you haven't yet), networking, keyboarding, and more....

If you ever need help, just come here to get it!

Now, this is not meant as an insult, but you need to use full text when writing emails for tech support tickets. (No IM talk, especially if you need to write a resume)

      Fixing problem in DOS:
DOS is probably the greatest tool ever built for PC, in fact, it lead to the creation of Windows...
You should learn how to start CD drives in DOS, learn about Autoexec files and how you may need to configure them, and much more....
Instead of buying books, check online for tutorials and go to your local library. Find a book that you really like, and then buy it at the store for future reference.

Anyone know if Qbasic can be downloaded for free? (Legally)

No Microsoft can be legally download except what is on their site.
