    How to start Telnet service in XP

    Hai,

      I am getting error to start Telnet service, pl put in details

    1) what r the Dependencies?
    2) whether to assign a user?
    3) If the service starts successfully how to check in local system?
    4) Is there any Other packages available to Install telnet service, available free  
        website tobe download?

    (we r using VSAT  n/w i.e Intranet)

         If U say all Telnet is not secured pl suggest me to use which service for remote admin.

    In answer to your last question, telnet is inherently insecure, mainly because the telnet protocol sends/receives packages in plain text, including logon passwords.  You need:
