I tried to introduce my dad to Call of Duty 2... in his day it was all arrow keys. Have you seen people new to computers trying to type? He presses W a bit, then wants to move back. So he has to scan the whole keyboard looking for the S key, during which time he is getting shot at and killed. It was slightly funny. His computer only has onboard graphics though and so couldn't manage more than about 10fps, so not suprisingly he decided he didn't like the game.

Ahh but after a while , it just become second nature , and you start to associate the Letter S With Running From danger ^.^

But the way most games are Layed out today you need to use WSAD because all the the Extra Controls are Placed around those Buttons

I tried AO before but I just couldn't get into it. There was too much tutorial! Too much text to read, I didn't really know what I was supposed to be doing... and then when it really matters (like where the heck am I!?) there's nothing to help you.

ok true but thats my opinion with all games today. Atari had one button and directional... now on a standard game console you have like 20 buttons and three directional pads... better grafics and a more liberal gaming invironment do have major drawbacks...

Hey all, read your posts. Just wanted to let you know about a great FREE mmorpg game called LAST CHAOS. It's one of the free AERIA games. There are six types of classes to choose from, (Healer, Sorcerer, Titan, Rogue, Mage, and Knight), and each class gets to choose one of two jobs at level31.
Here's a list of just a few of the things you can do:
1-Smith, upgrade, and enchant weapons and armor
2-Boost skills for spells and abilities
3-Fight monsters in several "worlds" and dungeons
4-Fight other players one-on-one, or in a guildwar
6-Raise dragons and horses to mount and ride, or raise the new "Scra-chi" and "Ichi" pets to fight along side you.
7-Participate many special events held by the Game Masters(GM's), and Game Sages(GS's)
And with the weekly game upgrades, the list is ever-growing.
Best of all, unlike many online multiplayer games, Last Chaos and the other AERIAGAMES games are FREE to download and FREE to play. All you have to do is create an AERIAGAMES profile, and bam, you can download and play any of their games for free.

You must be thinking, "Does he work for AERIA or something?".lol  Nope, I'm just another gamer trying to share the great game I found while surfing the web for freebies. I've played Last Chaos almost every day on the Caraie server for over a year now, and love it. But don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself at:
        http://lastchaos.aeriagames.com
Like I said, it's a free game, so you have nothing to lose but time(which I'm guessing you have, since you've read this far.lol). See you "ingame".;)

I use esdf, but same idea. just annoying having to change controls in almost every game.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

but youd need a good and fast computer to get the most out of the online gameplay and graphice

            I'm just curious...

Did anyone bother to look at the date in which this was last replied to, before the replies in December?
