I need help

Ok Well I got a virus(s) yesterday.  I have been running AVG antivirus and microsoft windows defender.  I am still getting pop ups when I am not even on the internet and some of my applications just crash.  I have tried to clean install but when I try to hit a key to from cd it won't let me.  I can press delete to go into BIOS but that is it.  I can't even go in to safe mode any help would be very appreicated.

also what kind of firewall do u have??

and do you have any other kind of anti-spyware?

All I can find is that it is a Trojan of somesort.  I have only the windows firewall.  I have Spyware Blaster.  I have a problem I can't go into safe mode.

what does it do when you try to go into safe mode?

are you rapidly tapping f8 while your computer is booting up?

Yes but then it brings up a menu.  I try to select safe mode but, my keys will not work.  But I can go into bios by pressing delete so I am at a total loss. :-?

are u using the arrow keys? if u r then try unplugging the m and plugging them back before you try to get into safe mode

Okay ummmm I will try that.  An other question I have is that I keep getting these pop ups when I am not on the internet I imagine that they are malware or adware is there a way to stop them from poping up it is ruining my gaming.

that could be a number of things. first lets try and get you into safe mode so u can runn some scans.. sometimes if not most of the time the scans will get rid of the pop ups if not they are other ways.

Well I tried what you said and I had no luck.  This is so strange.  I was able to move the cursor to safe mode before this problem started.



I might have to do a clean install could I use the recovery console?

u use the arrow keys to move around in the selection screne... the arrows are next the the right ctrl button..

ummm... u can get into normal right? if so try the scans in there first see what you get maybe that will fix the problem..

Are you using a USB keyboard and mouse or a ps2 keyboard and mouse ?
Do you have a real operating system cd or a copy ?
