Intrinsically Safe Wireless Mouse
« on: August 14, 2006, 03:15:06 PM »
I need an intrinsically safe wireless mouse so that I can communicate with an industrial PC inside a pressurized enclosure install in a hazardous explosive environment (Class 1 Div. II Groups B,C &D).  If you know where I can get one please advise.

Go for a wired mouse. Safer (in this case) and they just work. No gadgets, they just work. What is the need for wireless?

Safety regulations do not allow a wire from a mouse hanging outside of the pressurized cabinet.

But they allow for an electronic device in an explosive environment?
