Looking at Outlook 2003 Contacts here.  Click on the drop arrow next to New and select Distribution List.

I know how to make a distribution list, i was just wondering if there was a way to make the list based on the catagories i have created for my contacts. I.E. sales, clients, friends, ect. without having to select each contact individually to create the new distribution list.

I believe the answer is yes.  Clearly, you select more than one contact in a Contacts folder by using the Shift key or Ctrl key.  Do you know how to do that?

Use the "group by category" feature.  See the View menu.
