strange notepad thing appearing on my desktop

Hi guys, I keep getting a notepad icon appearing on my desktop called dxva_sig and when I click into it and notepad opens up it simply says 'B' in there. I delete it, a day or so later it's back. Any ideas please? Any further info needed please ask.

kennyrushby........  I'm not certain , but it sounds like you have been trying to play some movie or vid file with Windows Media player and you don't have the required codec installed ....... Installing the codec should correct this .......

Hi guys, thanks for your replies, the codec pack seems to have done the trick so far.

FYI I have AVG Free Edition running and use 'Spybot - Search and Destroy' and 'Ad-Aware' regularly too.
