If your search the Internet it shouldn't be hard to find another cd-key. Just make sure your computer is well protected, because some of "those" kinds of sites contain nasty viruses.

Or you could always ring up customer support. Sometimes works you know.

Seriously, I lost mine too. However, you can go to www.support.eagames.com and ask for a code. They even have a seperate category for lost or stolen codes.

I just got an identical message. THEY WANT ME TO PAY $10 FOR MY OWN ****ING GAME. That's just idiotic. I'm so pissed off that they want more money for my own freaking game. I was so pissed off, in fact, that I aquired another code, as an in-your-face. I'm keeping this one on my hard drives so I don't lose it. I feel absolutely no guilt; I paid $40 for their game and I'm damned well going to enjoy it.

a really good way not to lose serial numbers is to get a permanent pen and write the serial number on the cd itself.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

BTW, I'm not intending to use that code anymore. I can install the game, sure, but I can't access the Terrain Generator, I can't register the game, I can't do any of the extra things that a legit code would allow. And I am NOT mailing a $10 money order and one of my CD's to California to get a new code. I mean, for $20 I can get a new copy of the game. And that's exactly what I'm doing. Tomorrow, if possible. Best Buy's got it on the cheap, HALF PRICE from what the other one was, and I'm getting it.

There. No pirated codes.

BTW awsome game. Unfortunatly my city can't grow to big or my computer lags real bad (like 2 frames per second   )

But anyway, I hate it when companies (for anti-piracy reasons of course) make stupid codes like that.  Microsoft especially. Also for anti-piracy reasons, EA designed it so only one "main" account (or four whatever probably for other family members in the house) per ID code can download the "extras". Game updates are provided without a hassle however.
