How do you make a diagnostic partition?
« on: September 03, 2006, 01:27:07 PM »
On my gateway 507GR I have a main partition (C) 195GB and a diagnostic partition (D) 5GB.
I’m curios as to the following:
1: What does a diagnostic partition do?
2: How do you make one? (Assuming you start with a blank hard drive divided into a main partition and a little partition.)

Thanks

These are normally made at the factory when your machine is built...it contains everything needed to restore that system to factory new status.
The only drawback is when you do have to use this option you will lose all your data currently on the machine.

Be sure and leave that partition alone.  ;)
