I folks....
Just installed a new mobo and power source on an emachine( ickkkk ptoooooey.....not my machine) the board powers up, but there is no beeps at post, and I can't hear the HD working..... thoughts? suggestions? dynamite?

Check to be sure you do not have a motherboard stand-off  or screw in the wrong position and shorting-out the bottom of the motherboard.

Make sure you remove and re-install physically your video card,ram and any add-on cards.

Make sure the voltage selector if applicable is in the right position on your power supply.ie....120volt/220volt.

I probably should have mentioned bench-testing the motherboard.

The "Dynamite?"got me to thinking about...LOL
