hi... i have this game Command & Conquer Generals the first and expansion..... well i bet a lot of ppl have this game... well the problem isn't in the game... but the thing is this game doesn't run fast enough.... so just my question... what really needs this game to make this game run as fast as any other old games...??? does it need a really good video card??? or like does it need a really fast computer????
here are the speed and stuff for the computer where this game works....

It needs a decent videocard.

But since you didn't mention your videocard we can't tell what the problem is.

Actually, you didn't mention anything so we'll probably never figure out the problem.

Everythignlooks like it shoudl run the game... maybe get some more memory. If you havnt already bought a graphics card I would reccomend getting at least an Nvidia 6200 or better if you play any decent games...

BTW: Good job on being rude raptor. >:(

      Start > run > dxdiag > display

      Try uninstalling a few games?

You'll need something along the lines of an Nvidia FX5200 / ATI 9200 to play C&C Generals

You now have an onboard videocard which aren't very good and not always suitable for 3D games.

If you are going to argue do it in private messages.

NonMember, Raptor is correct in that you'll need a new graphics card to play this game smoothly.

Nothing. Two different names for the same thing.

Somewhere along the lines of 60-70 dollars will most likely get you a decent card.

What are the minimum requirements for C&C Generals?

Most of those cards are good... they'll all be able to play C&C great. Basically you get what you pay for, so the faster you want the more you'll spend. The $300 card you linked to is extremely fast, but also extremely expensive. Depends how much you are willing to spend and what other games you want to play. Unless money is no object, I'd suggest getting card for about $100-$200 and spending the rest of the money on some more RAM. Find out wether your mother has an AGP or PCI-E slot as the two types of graphics card are NOT compatable.

Edit: hahaha that should be motherboard. I left it in because it was slightly funny ::)
