Modem Error Message
« on: September 16, 2004, 12:19:48 PM »
I use XP Pro with SP2 and I just put in a U.S. Robotics 56K DFV AW PCI 99 50 PK.

The modem works fine and windows sees it, but whenever I either shutdown or restart the computer I get the following message.

USRprbdA.exe dll failed to initialize

Thanks in advance for the help

I suggest you scan for viruses, spyware and trojans.

If you are certain they belong to your modem, download updated drivers and/or reinstall the drivers.

I scanned for both and found nothing. It seems that this is an older modem, no driver for XP. Do I uninstall and install the driver for 2000?
