MRU stands for "Most Recently Used"
Windows keeps track of programs you've recently run or documents you've opened etc. For instance if you go to Start > My Recent Documents you'll see a list of documents you've recently opened. Likewise, if you go to the Run menu you'll also see a list of commands you've entered. MRUs are harmless for the most part but could pose possible privacy issues since someone with access to your machine could see stuff you've recently done. Ad-Aware lists them as "Negligible" because they can be ignored without fear of them causing any damage. There is a freeware app called MRU-Blaster that detects and removes over 30,000 MRU lists.

CCleaner will also remove just about any MRU list you would have; this includes such things as the list of recently opened files in Word, Excel, etc.

Well, Ad-aware's search for MRUs is mainly focused on those originating from Internet access.  It does not remove such things as the list of recently opened files in Word, Excel, etc.   CCleaner does.
