Go back to security center for a moment, and tell us what it says for AntiVirus and then I will be able to properly give you directions on downloading, installing, and registering Avast

You are very welcome. Avast is one of the best free AntiVirus programs. It removes viruses and adware better than Symantec!

    Myself!

    Avast can remove System Restore viruses, great for people who are not tech geeks that cant disable it on their own because they don't know how, and great for those of us who don't like to loose our system restore files.

    Avast can delete upon boot, Symantec has no feature that I have been able to find, and McAfee has the same story as Symantec.
