PCI Processor

Hello,

I am looking for a processor that would go to a PXI Slot. I am asking this because I already have an exelent processor but would like more speed and I believe that the better processors are just too expensive. Does anybody knows if this exists ?

Since that is such an obscure thing, why don't you describe exactly the motherboard, processor, etc and we can go from there.

Even if you should find one, it's still going to be more expensive than a new processor and mainboard.

If you are speaking of the future CPU ports that come with Asrock mainboards; don't bother, I haven't seen them for sale anywhere..

You already have an "excelent" processor. Do you NEED more speed, or want it just for the sake of it? If you're gaming, a graphics card might be a better investment. I've never heard of a PCI processor before... I thought PCI was slow.

ISA slot?  You have one of those?  Hmmm, how old is this computer of yours?  And, along with an ISA slot, "processors that are better than mine start at $2,000".  Man, this isn't making sense.  LOL.

And, what on earth processor do you now have that supports your statement that "processors that are better than mine start at $2,000".  The most expensive Intel processor listed on newegg.com is Intel Xeon 5080 Dempsey 3.73GHz Socket 771 2U Passive Processor Model BX805555080P - Retail, priced at $899.00.

Yes the Title is PCI Processor but also intersted in any processor that would go on a isa or AGP slot.
