Active X control

Okay when I go to a webpage that the window "Click here to run Active X control on this webpage" pops up after I push okay a window pops up that says "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience." When I click "For more information about this error" it says "AppName: iexplore.exe       AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180       ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2963       Offset: 001590ed"

So whats wrong and how do I fix it? Please help, If not on here reply to my e-mail adress at <Deleted> Thank you

I wouldn't bother with ActiveX:
