shutdown after 3 seconds
« on: October 06, 2006, 06:36:15 AM »
I replaced my hard drive and now the computer turns on and back off as soon as it is plugged in. It even does this without the hard drive , floppy, or cd drive plugged in. Any ideas what happened?

Don't know what happened but it sounds like a direct short somewhere.

Can you try another power supply?

All too often this is basically the question. Then the poster gets surprised when he gets few, or bullsh*t responses. It is no mystery to me.  ::)
