30GB hdd (w/ winXP) -> 1.9GB
« on: September 20, 2004, 02:41:41 AM »
i've partition my 30gb hdd with win xp pro disc using both NTFS and FAT (unsure if it means 16/32) and both result with 1.9GB ~ let say the FAT is 16bit which might be the reason which causes to have small disk space, but then NTFS should work fine ~ futhermore, i've checked the Computer Management @ Administrative Tools ... to see if there's unpartition disk space but NOOOooo ~  :o

soo ... wat's up with my hdd ? plz email me possible solutions ... thx guys ~ oh btw, i DO have an OLD intel motherboard ... old BIOS ... but im sure tat it WORKED before with my lost 40GB hdd (this is not a newly bought computer, worked fine before i switched some hardwares)  ???

Use the Windows XP CD-ROM to create partitions.

I think your BIOS is limiting size.  You may need the "drive overlay" (Disk Manager or EZ-Drive) from the hard disk manufacturer.

Does this help?  http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/bioslim.htm
