Message "Out of range"
« on: October 17, 2006, 07:30:34 PM »
I have a gome called "Hunting Unlimited" by "TEEN ESRB".  It is a hunting game.  When I try to run the game on full screen, the screen goes black and I get the message "Out of range" and "Vert freq = xxx KHz" and Hor freg = xxKHz".  (These frequencies are different each time i try to run the game)..
My OS is XP, I have 1 Gbyte ram, lots of hard drive, and a 2+ Ghz CPU (Athlon).  I am using a 19" Flat panel (LCD) by ViewSonic.  I have the display set at 1280x1024 and the  refresh rate at 60Hz, as recommended.  The thing works well at a reduced window size but not at full screen.  >:(
The only way I can recover use of the mouse and keyboard is to "Conro-Alt-Del" and stop the program from running.  This condition has not always existed.  I have been able to run it at full screen in the past but that was several months ago. :-[  Any ideas anyone? ? ?  Thanks,  Jim
You are much appreciated..     Thank you ,

Since you have a 19" monitor, set it to either 1024x786 or 1280x1024.

You may need to install monitor drivers (CD that came with your monitor) and the latest videocard drivers as well.
