Microsoft Outlook annoying language problem

Hi All,
When using outlook or word I find that when I am sending an email or document that was created by a user who is using a US-English language setting it will open in that setting on my PC despite the fact I have Australian-English set as default. This is especially annoying with email as I go to bash out a quick reply to someone and the auto correct is knocking words I've spelt correctly back to the US version of the spelling.

Do I have to grin and bare this or is there a setting I can use to change it.

One other thing: I find a button "attach as Adobe PDF" keeps showing up in my outlook menu bar regardless of how many times I remove it from the customizable menu setting.

Any ideas appreciated.

ah a further thing that might help anyone with an answer:

I notice that the changing language problem occurs even when I have sent a message (i.e. using Australian English), other person replies, when I reply to that message the language setting is always US - English. Only time I hit reply to a message and it comes up Australian English is when I reply to a text format email?

Have you in fact installed any Language packs on this build ? ?

Windows XP Pro fresh install done recently and I specifically installed only the Australian language throughout XP install language options (deleted default US English languange option during install) specifically to avoid this problem.

However problem remains as it has on any install I've ever done of XP.

Have you checked the MS Knowledge Base site to see if others are seeing the same issues as you are ? ?

I wouldn't know where to start or what I was looking for. It seems a somewhat obscure problem. I have put a post on an official microsoft site, seemed to be a user help forum. No joy as yet. If you think knowledge base is the way to go please advise the best way to approach it.
