    I think the SinBin is a bad idea. Putting in newbies who don't really know what section to post in etc will just annoy them for no real reason, and defeat the point of this website trying to help people. Do we really need the SinBin? Regulars might appreciate the humour, but I don't think anyone else.

      if they keep posting in the wrong forum over and over again maybe some time in the sinbin would be good for them and it would be good for spammers

      Who said it was for newbies? As you mentioned we can gently direct these folks.

      I once thought that way as well, until I saw the light and realised that morons just stay morons and people who are nice and spell properly will not end up in the sin bin.
