How to enable IIS
« on: October 30, 2006, 04:29:58 AM »
Hi ,

long time back i disabled my IIS service in windows XP in order to run Apache web server . Now when i tried to restart IIS in the "services" option in computer management which enables you to stop start and restart any service i found that IIS was not listed there and also the IIS related servicecs had their options disabled. Can some one please help me with how to re initialize the IIS service to get my local host as Windows server. I know i can do it with reinstalling the XP again . But there should be a way to do it. Can someone please help me out ?

Cheers

Have you gone to Add/Remove Programs / Windows Components /  to see if IIS is enabled there?
