I have a brand new Compaq computer running Windows XP with 512MB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500, Spy wear, Spam Blocker, etc and AT&T DSL 1.5 MB. I can not get the computer to enter the stand by mode either manually or using a screen saver and time settings; the screen goes off momentarily then turns back on and the computer never stands by. The Best Buy store where I bought it and had them install the softwear and set it up says 50% of computers are incompatible with the Stand By mode so not to worry. Is this true!?!? Help.
