You'll be able to load it, but the authentication will prove a hurdle 30 days down the road, unless you call again and get a kinder person (not likely).

That's a great licensing scheme isn't it? They like to sell their products over and over. Make you want to go to Linux?

You could reinstall 98 on there, however, as it is not bound by the same software booby traps.

    I really did not want to go back to Win98.  Its a sitting duck. My plan was to upgrade the processor, maybe install a second HD and end up with a decent little tinker machine.
