Vector Linux Problems
« on: October 31, 2006, 02:56:58 PM »
I installed Vector Linux. It is working properly, except for a few things. First, I can't access the Windows partition (NTFS 28GB). Second, I cant access CDs, and third, I can't set up my digital camera so that I could get the pictures off of it.

Windows XP SP2, Vector SOHO 5.1.1, 768 RAM, 40 GB HDD, CD-R/RW (don't know model), DVD-ROM LG GSA - 4163B, camera- Sony DSC - P73

Did you try the Vetor forums? That is always the best option.

I fixed the camera, I had to change an option on the camera itself, not on the computer. I will look on the vector forums.

I found out how to get to the files on the CD-ROM and the Windows partition.

I can't get some software to work. When I install aMSN using KPackage it installs without problems. When I launch it it loads for a while and hten nothing happens. Another thing is when I try to install Alien Arena from Terminal (it's a .run file) it says this:

[root@vector~]$ ./alienarena-2007-x86.run
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Alien Arena 2007 for Linux.................................. ....................................... ....................Extraction failed.
Signal caught, cleaning up
