« on: November 13, 2006, 01:13:33 PM »
Hi!
I havnt been able to se my computer for three weeks now.
One day I turned it off and when I went to turn it back on it
went to a black window asking me which way I would like to
restart windows. I pressed Start Windows Normally and my
computer restarted itself. I than pressed another option and
the same thing happend. I took it to the IT department here
at school and they said that a component of WIndows XP (Home edition)
is missiing and I just need to put the windows xp CD in the
CD drive and press repair. I did that and I got a blue window
asking me how I would like to fix the problem. I pressed R
for repair and it went to a black comman window and it didnt
show me any operatin systems to choose from to repair.
Have I lost everything on ym computer???
I havnt backed anything up.

ps
It a sony Vaio desktop...

Thanks for the help in advance!

You should try doing a system restore from safemode.
