Did something brain dead.  :-/ Made both log in accounts for wind. xp "limited accounts" while swithching them.  Now  no

administrative account exists (big headache).  thank you

Well, combind with your other issues, I think you're looking at a reinstall. Do you have your Windows reinstall CD's handy?

If the default admin account wasn't set up with a password you should be able to boot into Safe Mode (F8) and login to it without a password.  If there was one set up and you don't know it...GX1_Man's advice is your next step.

How did you exactly make both accounts user... my experience xp will require you to have at least one admin account other than the hidden admin before you can set your existing account to user...  Are you using Pro or Home...
