I know it doesn't really contribute, but I must ask... Why?  :-/

I have tons of gamecube games I want to play on my PC. I could try emulating gamecube games, but I can't afford an ethernet adapter and I can't mod it; it's not mine. I'm trying to figure out what to do with two Pentium IIIs that will be unused. I guess I could spend about $30 and fix one of them up to be a server. Again, not sure how to do that.

Wouldn't it be more expensive to mod your PC than to buy an ethernet adapter?

what's so bad about a TNT2 32MB? I was hoping that the modding could be done on a software level.

Personally I'd do what Homer said. Also, Gamecubes are relatively cheap now it would probably be cheaper to buy one then upgrading your computer to handle gamecube games.

Im not sure. Because If you wanted to have the PC play the discs you would have to have a drive flashed with the correct firmware to play Gamecube games.

I'd say you couldnt turn a computer into a fulling working Gamecube but you probably could play gamecube games on a computer whether it was a disc or a rom.

The gamecube disc goes backwards from a normal drive.
