« on: November 26, 2006, 03:31:28 AM »
HP  AMD Turion 64x2 TL 50 processor,
512 MB DDR2, 80 GB,Light Scribe Multi DVD Writer pIONEER DVD-K16.

Using this writer and nero burning tool...burned an audio cd .
but cannot play back on any car cd player.

What is that? Is that laser light problem of the player or or...

Your answer please.
I would like to know the reason .

Does the CD play back in other CD players, or is it just the car CD player that has a problem with the CD?
Is it a standard audio CD or a WMA or MP3 CD or something?
Some car CD players don't play CD-Rs, they only play bought CDs

I'm not actually sure why some car CD players don't play CD-Rs, I don't know why some do and some don't....mabe it's a cost-cutting measure or something....
I know my dad's car plays CD-Rs, but my friend's doesn't

That is more likely. Next bet would be the files are merely MP3's.

I was thinking MP3 files on the CD as well. If you are making an Audio CD you need to convert the files to Wav format before burning them onto a CD.

It all depends on the particular player. Mine will recognize and play CDA, WMA, WAV, MP3, and maybe a couple of others that I haven't tried yet. CD-R is not a problem, I have not tried CD-RW as those are known to cause problems, even with some computers (that they were not written on). Unclosed sessions will not work. Multi-session most likely won't work for one of the sessions. A relatively up-to-date CD player "should" be able to play MP3's.

But we have absolutely NO information on the car CD player. And jmiah seems to have a LOT of problems with his equipment anyway.
