I didn't read that there...

What is NVM ? ?

I suggest DLoading and burning the Ultimate Boot CD otherwise known as UBCD...There are many free tools on their including a few cloning tools...

Be careful and read each section as some of these are powerful tools indeed.

Why would you want to clone what is not working correctly now?

i was talking about cloning this HD, the one that im using for this computer, however, i couldnt find good HD cloner, so i decided to re format and its not worth the viruses and spyware that comes with this HD, so i reformated HD, now when i go to install XP it keeps freezing during the installation, ive used my orginal CD, froze with that one, so i thought it may be a scratch, now i used my backup and still freezez, do you think there may be a problem with my HD, which is cuasing it to freeze the installion?

I hoped he could prove to himself that what he was told will not work wouldn't...

The new HDD manuf. utility ( free ) is probably the best choice...they have come a long way.

Did you try that?
