No sound from media player or Real player
« on: November 30, 2006, 07:58:46 PM »
I am having problems with not getting any sound from either of these and most games I play don't get sound either only game I get sound for is the pinball for windows.  Another place I can get sound is when I use my vinyl audio control panel when I got to test the speakers they work. I have tried to upgrade my media player and download the newest drivers for my audio.
The audio I think I am using is called Envy24 family audio controller WMD. Also I have another one called vinyl AC97 codec combo driver WMD.
I am running windows XP um not sure what other info is needed if I missed anything please tell me and I will post it right away also thanks for any help can get.

Delete all audio items in Device Manager and restart the machine. What happens now?

um not sure what you mean like disable everything with sound in device manager. I don't know how to delete anything there. I disabled them all and then nothing at all works no sound from pinball or anything at all.
