« on: December 03, 2006, 12:35:53 PM »
When I try to open 'run' by pressing Windows Key plus R. The following error occur: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." while I am Administrator. I don't see run program on start menu. I have SP2 of MS Windows Xp Professional.

Thanks,

merosansarma ...... If you click start ........ do you not see a window like this ?

Run should be listed there unless you have removed it for some unknown reason .

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

Look at the following thread and hopefully this may help:

    click http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1165296075

There may also be another solution right click the taskbar, go to properties, click the start menu tab, click customize tab, click advanced tab, Find where it says "Run command" and check it as necessary.
    Good luck!

Computers are the future, not us. Learn everything you can about them while you still can, soon they will be learning about us... Every bit of advice that I give you is best guess, it is your choice whether or not you listen to it.
